Hear my cry, O Lord
by: Jojie M. Maranga (Door of Hope Ministry)

Psa 61:1 <To the chief Musician upon Neginah, [A Psalm] of David.> Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

Psa 61:2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock [that] is higher than I. (KJV)

As a new believer way back 1988, I came to know and love this song coming from this verse, not knowing that there will be many times I have to cry out loud to the Lord.

Once instance came years ago when I cried to God and labored in prayer for the life of my younger sister, who was all alone in Sweden. She collapsed in her work place, brought to the hospital and found to have a brain tumor. An immediate operation was needed.

It was God's way and God's plan for her to be there in a particular time and place because on that month she collapsed after she became a regular employee, meaning she can enjoy all the benefits like the hospitalization for free.

Otherwise, had it happened here, she would had been long gone. I praise the Lord for HIS PERFECT TIME and PROVISION.

My concern at that time was my sister's salvation. So from the other end of the earth, Philippines, I cried to God for His mercy and grace that she may come out well from the operation and for God to use the difficult
situation to bring her to the full knowledge of His Son Jesus Christ. Along with her were other similar cases of head operation. Only my sister Izon was able to come out "alive from from among the dead". God was so good, she came out normal - able to talk in English and Swedish, think and even her memory remained intact except for her left leg and some other bodily functions that by God's grace was restored slowly over the
years...

My sister began to realize so many things after her PHYSICAL operation for God was operating on her spiritually as well. As my sister went through REHABILITATION for some areas of her bodily functions the good
Lord allowed her to go through also A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY OF REHABILITATION with Him; working on her gently one day at a time. All glory to God!

Last year, when she came home for a long visit, she joined our intercessory prayer meeting.

She comes to hear the Word of God on a Sunday Fellowship as well. I praise the Lord for it. However, when she is back there she lost the fellowship. But thank God for the new technology, my sister is able to join us every Tuesday Intercessory Prayer meeting through the internet. With this problem in mind I kept asking the Lord to provide her a Bible- believing and passionate- for God group she can join and fellowship with in Sweden.

A few months back God answered my prayer. Izon, came to know some Bisdak (Visayan speaking) women in Sweden, who love the Lord. They meet once a week in spite of the distance and the cold weather. Praise God!

It is a joy in deed to know that our God HEARS OUR PRAYER, STILL DOES A MIRACLE, and AND BUILDS HIS CHURCH even in the remotest part of the earth!

Therefore, let us continue to thank the Lord for every trial, every problem and even in the worst possible situation for His mighty hand is upon His people, who trusts Him and loves Him. For He can raise the dead back to life, heal the sick, give sight to the blind and make the lame walk again. He did all of these to my
sister. He can also in your situation. Only we have to believe and trust in Him alone.

Hear this, God's people. GOD HEARS OUR CRY wherever we are. And whatever worst possible situation we are in. He is God and there is no other. Let us give God all the glory that is due His Name!
