Comfort Ministry

Scriptural Foundation: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord JESUS CHRIST, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; Who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

WHO NEEDS COMFORT?

1. Those who are grieving.
2. Those who are sick.
3. Those who are bitter.
4. Those who are dying.
5. Those who are hurting.
6. Those who are disabled.
7. Those who are in financial distress.
8. Those victims of disaster.

MISSION AND VISION STATEMENT:

With God, the Father of our Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST, the source of all comfort and mercies Who comforts us in all our afflictions, the Comfort Ministry of LWCCCII aims to provide comfort to those who are in grief due to the loss of a loved one and to those who are suffering from serious illness, disabled, in distress and hurting from broken relationship using the Word of God as source of strength, encouragement and hope and by extending help in whatever measure it can to alleviate their suffering.

MINISTRY ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES:

The members of the Comfort Ministry of LWCCCII conduct house visitation to those who are in grief and hold nightly mortuary services during the wake of departed loved one as well as conduct funeral services. As an evangelistic arm of the Church, the Ministry is fulfilling the Great Commission by preaching the Gospel to the lost during house visitation and during mortuary and funeral services.

MINISTRY SCHEDULE AND DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAMS:

A monthly fellowship meeting is held every first Friday of the month at 7:00P.M at the LWCMCII Center in Banawa,
Cebu City. During the monthly fellowship meeting, rules, guidelines and ways in improving the service and how to
become more effective in fulfilling the mission and vision of the ministry are taken up. Discipleship training is part of
the program.

WHO ARE TO BECOME MEMBERS?

Preferably official church members. Regular attendees of fellowship services and other church gathering of Living Word Christian Ministries may also join.

HOW ITS SERVICES CAN BE AVAILED OF?

Upon request by a concerned party particularly one who is a very close relative of the deceased or of the one
who needs to be comforted.
